Edward PECK DESIGN is a design consultancy working at the intersection of art and science synchronizing architecture and engineering in the development of innovative and high performance solutions for the built environment. With every project our practice seeks to establish effective and informed collaboration that drives intelligent investigations and performative solutions. From architectural design to specialty building skin and façade consultation the practice pursues solutions that are high performance, resilient and sustainable.

Led by Edward M Peck, the firm is recognized for its distinctive use of emerging architectural technologies and innovative building skins. Edward seeks to develop an informed and collaborative design process consulting clients and architects in the development of progressive architecture.

LEADERSHIP

Edward M Peck FAIA | Managing Director

Edward is an advocate for high-performance architecture, an educator of informed collaboration and a pioneer of innovative materials. With more than 20 years of experience in the design and construction industry, Edward has become a leader in innovative and performance driven architecture. His professional history is diverse; he has practiced as an architect, façade engineer and served as the design director for a leading specialty ETFE contractor. From these positions he has gained valuable knowledge from design and engineering to product development, manufacturing and construction. This diverse experience with complex and progressive projects enables him to be an impactful design leader and collaborator.

His national and international portfolio spans a broad spectrum of project typologies including higher education, corporate, cultural, residential and sports and aquatic entertainment venues. In addition to design leadership he is a recognized pioneer of ETFE technologies and an expert in glass technologies and architectural fabrics. This in-depth expertise with innovative building skins makes him a highly sought after technical advisor and educator.

Edward received degrees in building science and architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and teaches architectural technologies and building skin systems in the College of Architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology. He is a member of the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects, a licensed architect registered with the National Council of Architecture Registration Board (NCARB) and a LEED accredited professional.
